 About WODECO

WODECO is a non-governmental and non partisan organization that came into being in 1997, as a result of a participatory needs assessment which was carried out to look into the problems of women in our community. The assessment revealed that there was an urgent need for an organization to empower women in order to address their special needs by encouraging them to take responsibility for their development.

 

WODECO focuses on the development and welfare of women, children and youths so as to improve their living conditions and status by addressing their practical and strategic needs. The organization which was founded by Mary Ajayi, a graduate of Computer Science and holder of a Diploma in Community Based Development with specialization in micro-finance from Coady International Institute of St. Francis Xavier University in Canada.

The headquarters is located at Abeokuta, the capital of Ogun State Nigeria

To promote empowerment for the total development of women, children and youths by providing necessary support services to prepare them well for an improved and productive future
